About

I am an IT professional finishing a B.S. in Information Technology at Arizona State University, with a concentration in Cybersecurity and Networking, and I am targeting a role in Linux systems administration or IT infrastructure. Most of my hands-on experience comes from infrastructure I built and run myself: a multi-node Linux environment that handles the same classes of services, and surfaces the same classes of failures, that a junior administrator deals with day to day. I document what I build, and I diagnose problems to root cause rather than working around them, which is the habit I most want to bring into a professional environment.

That environment spans three nodes: a Fedora workstation that also serves as a KVM/QEMU hypervisor, an Ubuntu server running seventeen containerized services, and a third node dedicated to background automation and local AI workloads. The services sit behind a Caddy reverse proxy with automatic TLS and are reachable only across a Tailscale zero-trust mesh, so nothing is exposed to the public internet. Storage is encrypted with LUKS2, and everything important is protected by a 3-2-1 backup architecture that pairs local Syncthing replication with AES-256 encrypted cloud sync. I run RHEL, Kali, and a sandboxed malware-analysis system as virtual machines, and the RHEL machine is where I am preparing for the RHCSA certification by administering a real Red Hat system rather than reading about one.

Before returning to school full-time, I worked as a Level 1 Help Desk Technician on contract for Primary Health Care, supporting clinical staff across a statewide healthcare network. My most measurable result there was a license audit: I found and removed more than two hundred unused Google Workspace licenses, cutting thousands in recurring cost, and I finished a project scoped for two weeks in a single day by building a repeatable workflow and validating the results with stakeholders before acting. Earlier, as a computer repair technician at Schrock Innovations, I introduced Linux tooling into a Windows-centric shop for secure drive wiping, data recovery, and cloning, and I performed component-level hardware repairs daily. Alongside this work, I am finishing my degree in December 2026 with a 3.62 GPA and Dean's List standing, and I have been accepted into Arizona State's accelerated 4+1 program to continue toward a master's in Information Technology part-time.
